Motivation
Motivation is what makes leaders of ordinary men and personality plays a vital role. There are two types of personalities that affect motivation:
The type of person you are: Whether you have a overall strong personality or weak personality Our image perceived by another person: This deals with the mental aptitude and even the physical attributes.
If we look around us we will find many people who show a lack of motivation in life due to their subdued personality. The most affected are the people who feel that they have a personality that makes them feel like a social outcast or inferior in any way.
Some of the examples are that of obese people, people with low IQ, people suffering from depression and then there are people who can easily succumb to defeat in a situation, test, interview, examination and turned to committing suicide. These are actually the weaker aspects of personality. This is where motivation is required.
Motivation can be derived from external sources like:
News: Tom Whittaker used prosthetic legs to climb Mt. Everest. This incident provides motivation to a lot of people. Most people would think, if he can do it then why can’t I? Of course, how much motivation you can derive from this event and whether it can bring a positive change or not will depend on your strong will. Positive motivation can help you to fight and win against some of the toughest enemies including physical problems like disability & blindness. Stories: We all grow up hearing stories. Some stories remain within us and we are able to relate to them whenever faced with a situation that demands the best or the worst from us. It is more of a psychological phenomenon. Stories about sacrifice, generosity, conquests, love, and death can bring tears to the eyes but also stir the soul and can become a source of motivation. This motivation will also help in carve a stronger personality.
Motivation can be derived from internal sources like an event. In one lifetime, a person can go through a multitude of events, which denotes the highs and lows in his or her life. How you take each situation and what you learn from it will determine whether you will be able to motivate yourself or not. There are two basic personality types. These are the people who have motivation yet the results are different:
Ambitious: These people have fire in their belly. They work relentlessly towards a single goal. Failure doesn’t slow them down and at the same time they gain motivation from their failures and this motivation lays the cornerstone of their dreams and a future. Casual: For them the moment is important but one low can bring them down. They have been through failures, but not learned from them. They have the power within them to motivate themselves and reach a high in life but often falter on the way due to the “who cares” attitude.
Its important to find what motivates you and use this as leverage towards success.
The current economic downturn has many people searching for ways to improve their quality of life and attract abundance and prosperity. The daily media reports of gloom and doom financial conditions, deadly flu viruses, and the everyday discussed increase in unemployment has millions of Americans completely terrified. In a recent conversation with one of my coaching students she told me of a conversation that she had with her daughter regarding how to improve her quality of life. She told me that her daughter had been completely overwhelmed by the negative media blitz and how she is consumed by fear of debt, sickness, foreclosure, and crime and doesn’t see anyway that her life can get better.
When I heard this I thought to myself “How many others don’t know how to improve their quality of life?”. This question really weighed on my mind and it inspired me to really go deep into what it takes to improve your quality of life and attract abundance and prosperity to live you best life now. Our quality of life is a direct reflection of how we think or view our lives and our self, if you believe yourself to be a loser and have a low self esteem your life will certainly mirror these types of thoughts. The same is true if you believe that anything is possible and you can be whatever you want to be then your life experience will mirror that too.
Do you know anyone that seems to succeed at everything they do and they live a lifestyle that others only dream of? What type of attitude do they have? These people generally are very positive and have an optimistic outlook on life. The same is true on the other hand, I’m sure you’ve met the grouch who is negative everyday and looks for any reason to rain on someone else’s parade because they’re unhappy with their life. Thses people are truly good people and are naturally positive people who have not discovered the formula for success to improve their quality of life.
To improve your quality of life to attract wealth, happiness, success, abundance and prosperity requires us to do a few things to manifest our birthright lifestyle of tremendous success here are a few steps to begin your journey on the Pathway to Prosperity.
#1: Positive Attitude ~ A positive attitude is vital to improving your quality of life . To improve our quality of life we must develop a positive attitude and become conscious of all the good things that are all aroud us. Make out a list of all the things that you are grateful for and read it every morning. Reading this will remind you of the good things in your life, most people focus on all the negative aspects of life that they don’t like and by giving your attention to what you don’t like will attract more of it to you. The same is true when you focus on the good things in life and the happy feelings you feel you will attract more of that into your life . You are a Master Creator and it’s up to you what type of life you decide to create for yourself.
#2. Decide what type of life you’d like to live ~ Decide the quality of life you’d like to live and create a plan to achieve it. Many times we go through life just coasting through with no true direction or destination in mind. When we do this we allow ourself to become a victim of circumstance and can end up living a life that is like a drifting boat with no captin that crashes against the rocks and floats on until it finally sinks or lands on some deserted island with no way off. This happens more than you can imagine, many people want to be successful, wealthy, happy, and rich but they have not decided what they want to be successful at, how wealthy they’d like to be, or what makes them happy. This way of living is the same as driving across country with no road map you never know where you’re going to end up. If you’d like to improve your quality of life you must decide what type of lifestyle makes you happy and go for it!
#3. Take Action!!! ~ This is the place where many people have the most difficulty. After you’ve transformed your way of thinking and have decided the quality of life you’d like to experience the next step is to take action to making your dream come true. Nothing will ever happen if you don’t take action, concentrated attention on accomplishing your goals will attract the necessary tools to assist you on your journey to improve your quality of life. You should remember that even the longest journey begins with the first step. Become aware of the amazing power that lies within you and is eager for your command for this power to be released. When we become conscious of our inner greatness the quality of life that we desire for ourself will match our beliefs. You deserve to live the highest quality of life that is possible to live and you can be, do, and have all that you desire that does not take away or harm anyone else. This means you have a right to be rich, happy, and successful and this can be done without competing with anybody because there is more than enough of whatever you desire to go around. Make your quality of life your highest priority and I assure you that the higher your awareness and “Knowledge of Self” grows your life will most certainly do the same.
Society spends to much time watching the news instead of making there own news. Many people spend more time and money on cars, big screen T.V’S, cell phones, and other material things than they do on their personal development and improving their quality of life. Make the decision today to transform your life and live your best life Now!

Philosophy
Something that most of us come to understand is the path to personal growth. However our journey to that realization may be varied. Experiences in our day to day lives teach us the importance of paying attention to what we are learning from challenging and something painful situations. As we grow our experiences teach us to follow a path that may make sense at the time. As a young man, before I was introduced to a path of personal development, I probably looked at the world differently. At that time, I adopted the knowledge I learned from my friends, my family and even from experiences in school. My viewpoint then was the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer. For many of my generation, our parents told us get a college degree, secure a great job and work hard and everything would be fine, that’s what life was all about. But this did not work for me. For me, and others, we found that when life did not seem to work, this limiting philosophy was to blame.
I still remember the day my life was changed after listening to the tape of Mr. Jim Rohn. He taught me that rather than wishing life was easier, strive instead to be better. Face challenges in life by developing stronger skills. Look at challenges as the path to wisdom. What changed for me was the impact that personal development (PD) began to have in my life; I became devoted to mastering it in all areas of my life and making it my personal philosophy.
What about you? Have you given any thought to upgrading your life by studying PD?
Let me tell you it will take time and energy to create the habits of a stronger mind taking full responsibility for where you are going in life. So if you were to take that on what would that mean for you? Well for others it has meant being open minded, welcoming new ideas, establishing strong standards for your life. It doesn’t happen overnight but surprisingly, putting one foot in front of the other you can get there. Who you become in the process is the part that is most exciting! An analogy that I love is the planting of a seed. It is something we can all relate to. Once that seed is planted it will grow, the roots may remain hidden under the ground for some time, but eventually the sprouts will burst through the ground and small green leaves will push their way through the soil and grow into twigs that become strong branches and eventually become a resilient and mighty tree. What went into cultivating that tree? It takes care, like water, sun, healthy soil, nutrients. Through the harvest, the foundation will come. No short cuts here! The analogy of the tree can be compared to the steps of Personal Development, let me share them with you now. The four principles that transformed my personal and business life are:
1. Endless possibilities come from new ideas obtained though a learning process of personal philosophy.
2. The necessary traits are a winning attitude, an inspiring life, empowering beliefs, enthusiasm, excitement and the willingness to make thing happen, rather than just wait for things to happen.
3. Combine the knowledge you have learned with action. Without taking any action your knowledge would be wasted. Nothing we suffer is in vain; it is all part of our growth to a more rewarding life.
4. Our results are always giving us feedback. By tracking our progress we can see the path we have journeyed Measure your results as a target for success!

Growth
The teenage years are ones of tremendous growth and development, but, along with that growth comes tremendous pressures. Having a strong sense of self is often the rudder which can steer a teen toward a successful adulthood. If you know a teenager who is struggling with seemingly insurmountable issues such as low self-esteem or self-destructive behaviors, a personal growth teen camp may be the answer.
A personal growth teen camp can provide young people the opportunity to grow and learn in a safe yet stimulating environment. Teenagers are at an age where they are capable of making independent decisions but often these decisions are the wrong ones. At best, they may be sullen, uncooperative and uncommunicative. At worst, they may succumb to peer pressure which often leads to underage drinking and drug use.
A personal growth teen camp can offer a teenager the opportunity to prove they are capable of functioning on their own while gaining greater insight into their own abilities, skills and talents.
Some personal growth teen camps may function as wilderness camps. These camps may be a week or more and offer a camping-type program which fosters personal skill development, positive decision making, effective communication and cooperation within a group.
For the most challenged teens, some personal growth teen camps are held over a period of weeks or months and offer a live-in situation. These may offer “boot-camp” experiences designed to foster self-reliance and responsibility. By taking the teen out of a familiar yet destructive environment and thrusting him or her into one in which basic needs are met and not much more, comfortable assumptions the teen has about the world are shattered thus leading to personal development of a more positive nature.
The teen years are an especially turbulent time and a personal growth teen camp may facilitate an individual in transitioning from a combative and uncooperative teenager into a successful and happy adult.
